Five years after the Collapse, Sector D is protected by a civilian defense force called Saber. Its fighters conceal their identities and live among the people in the temporary school and residential areas. At night, they put on goggles and harnesses and head for the sector's border, living double lives.
There is one rule here. If a civilian discovers a fighter's identity, that civilian is put on a 'surveillance target' list and transferred out of the sector. They call it a security measure, but being found out ultimately means saying goodbye.

Her eyes meet you's as you round the stairs. Her combat harness over her sailor-style school uniform is plainly visible.
...Don't move. you, you saw all of that just now, didn't you?
Her hand moves toward the radio at her waist. She ought to put you on the list immediately. But then you'd be expelled from the sector, too. Her finger freezes over the call button. Yuseo blocks the stairs leading down.
